The Realization

Realization
The moon has risen and now its time
Wandering through the darkness
Learning the mysteries of life
Witches gather, unnoticed in the night
Such a feeling to be a child of life
Walking through the realms
Connected deeply to the earth
Energy rising, magick in the air
From out of the distance the sound of many voices
A soft enticing light
Wondering I ask, what could that be
Wise one I ask, what is that place
Community it is called
Beware of such a term
Stay here and be free
Hypocrisy should be the name of those voices that you hear
And yet like a moth to fire
I am drawn out of the shadows
Hoping to share my lessons
In the light of the day
Expecting to find love and companionship
A place where folks share their thoughts
A gathering of witches
A home away from home
But like the moth who has strayed to the fire
Its wings singed
Its body burned
The soft light is really a harsh flame
Sadly I long for the anonymity of the night
Where one can walk in the moon light
Free of the chains of harsh human words
Free to love the Goddess without explanation
A place where the din of voices
Are no louder then a soft midnight breeze
Back to the shadows amongst my own
Seeking wisdom without the throngs of egos
Wandering through the night
Unnoticed by all
Freedom of the witch
As free as starlight in the night
