Prayer To Epona

Epona, Great Mother Mare
Gold are your hooves
Silver your mane
Moon white your sides
Evergreen are the fields
That you gallop through
Soaring without wings
May we run at your side
As joyful foals
Seeing the world for the first time
Teach us to love Life as a yearling
Nourish us on the Milk of your Wisdom
Carry our spirit on your Strong Back
As we struggle through Life's mud
Grant us the Freedom of the Wind
Protect us through all the Summers
And the Winters of our lives
Bless us with Joy, Prosperity
And the Fulfillment of our Wildest Dreams
May we Shine with your Infinite Beauty
In every way
Epona, we honor you

Author's Notes: I'm more comfortable writing articles and stories than poetry. I usually find my poetry rather cumbersome. But then, that was before Epona. She has lent my words some grace although the rhyme still escapes me.
