Goddess Within

The beauty before you fades like a flower
to catch one more glimpse , to bathe in it's power
To caress the petals, and hold on to the pain
to breathe in the suffering, where there's no reason to explain
The fragrant intoxication when all feels lost
replacing any existing convictions, no matter what the cost
Your love is what saved me
brought me back from despair
you showed me a different way of living
and that it is not wrong to care
You helped me through troubled times
allowed me to persevere
accepted me for who I am
walking me through every fear.
Your image forever on my mind
Your scent on my skin
I feel you around me at all times
the goddess within.
Author's Notes: This poem is about my dedication to the Wiccan path and to the Goddess. Realizing your beliefs and affirmations for the first time. Seeing them in front of you come into fruition.
