A walk in the Moonlight
As I walk slowly about through the moonlit night Silent thoughts cross my mind The hard experiences of years gone by As I seek to find my inner self
Many are the mistakes I've made Realities of life A soul wandering lost The mists of ignorance swirling about
Memories of my infant son A presence so brief A distant pain Yet a steady reminder
Love found and somehow lost The bitter seeds of my own truths When the mask is parted What lies within the shadows
Fears of failure Hopes of glory Answers sought Questions all about
Stumble I shall Seeking the veil A glimmer of hope Lost in the pain
To reach the crest We stagger forward Our truths serving as our cudgels Each seeking the path
If I have failed you Forgive my weaknesses A blind seeker in the dark Longing to find the light
