Sacrifice

Sacrifice
Deep into the catacombs we roam
Not knowing the way
Or finding our home
Deeper we go
Day fades to night
Shadows lurk within our sight
And we scream
Where echoes find a nightmares dream
And there are stones of ancient lives
Where art reflects our woes and strifes.
Who am I?
Living lies?
Dressed up in another way?
We are crazed.
To think...
All is good! Life is good?
To say...
I am doing things my way.
To speak...
I am a Pagan or a Wiccan.
To smell sour and bitter fruits.
Let us taste our own poisonous tree.
Where the wells are in this cave.
It is murky, filled with laughing clowns.
And this fog encircles us round and around.
Falling in it, we slam onto the ground.
And it is here, somewhere.
That rhythm of our mother.
The tremors of our father.
Now drink this blood they say.
And I will give you night.
And I will give you day.
Where this is of your own life flow.
Into the depths, this seed to grow.
Only we will come to know.
Alone.
Let us journey now.
As the hermit seeks.
To find the way to strengthen the weak.
Let us journey now.
Into the depths of the catacombs.
Where we can meet.
Our clone alone.
Travel now through veins,
Through the structure that holds us up,
Our skeleton. Our own bones.
To heal.
