What I carry with me

Age Group: Adult
What I carry with me
I know well the heavy luggage -
That causes shoulders and necks to strain -
I know how it makes me feel -
And I know what brings the pain -
So forget the extra baggage -
It feels nice without it -
While you feel naked and free -
While your traveling by air -
You can only carry three -
While traveling by car -
You can load it up to your windows -
Now that's to an inadequate degree -
While traveling on foot -
And the bag is on your shoulders -
I'd use it, if only the weather was colder!
What I carry with me -
Is now about the size of my hand -
It has four-chambers and pumps -
And flows as the sea
And flows on the land -
And there is one more -
that's like no other -
It is immortal -
As the Great Spirit
And as my Father and Mother -
Through every wild animal -
And every living thing -
Love is what I carry with me -
It gives my body, mind and spirit -
A song for my heart to sing!
