Fortitude

Fortitude
Ever been infused
Lax limbs and spinalcord
Going limp where only
Surroundings break into
A cool and gentle pull
From myself and where I was
And within that pull
Engulfed the moon
And spring waters
Was a courage
At a fixed rate
Deliberate and slow
Above and there below
Comes the winged dragon
Transfixed eyes tranced
then becoming one...the dance
Where the coils unwrap
Into a speed that has no time
And whispered names of her
A repetitive rhyme
To replenish each moon
Drawn down and back into
A dark matter
Confessing to the worms
And bodily waste
of words unholy
Unto these days and before me
With a cost
And inward service
To exit and enter
As a dream within a dream.
