The Pagan Way
by Rain Feather

The Pagan Way
A tree is but a tree.
But a tree means more to me!
You see green leaves
We see the Green woman
And the Green man swaying
and dancing. Waving and singing.
We welcome each season!
Land is just land.
But land means more to me!
You see brand new houses
and highways, sky-scrapers and
by-ways.
We see fruits and grains
The elements of nature
and the spirits that remain!
Oh what a beautiful day!
To live the Pagan way
Where we give to earth
And recieve through the rise of the stones
Where we share in each birth
Warrior, Father and Sage
Of Maiden, Mother and Crone
Oh where the wings spread and fly!
That leads us to learning
the spirits in trees and in stones
Where calm, serenity and peaceful energy resides
we drop to the earth from all four sides
To live...Yes! To live the Pagan Way!
And among the people
There is always Q and A
Always different in views
That will always remain a certain way
But for us we are as the God and Goddess
Always changing as each season changes
So it is and shall be!
We are the magick
With the twist and slight of hand
With rods and swords
And the blessings that are
ever will change!
Oh we are the music
The spiral is our wild dance
The music in our chants
The energy that is sent forth
And so it enchants!
Oh but the doctors
let us not forget from whence they came
The healers and the shamans
And thus the Pagan Ways again!
We are open-minded people
Granting gifts through giving deeds
Sharing alike giving the needs.
We hail to the Old Ones!
We hail to the New!
Onward we go
Towards simplicity renewed!
We are Pagans United!
Pagans through each walk of life!
There are more of us than you think!
Pagan Proud ever-knowing!
Pagan Pride ever-growing!
We dance the wild dance
We sing the chants in songs
In rituals and feasts
To send forth and recieve
This is why we are home
This is where we belong!

Author's Notes: Thoughts of Pagan Pride, where I once was and who I am today. It's as I see it a kaleidioscope (Life and Death) with each turn there is always something within our grasp with the slightest turn of hand.
