The Winter of my Discontent

I sit here late at night
looking out my window
my future, nowhere in sight
watching the people wind outside blow.
The pain i feel, i never felt before
an emptiness fills my soul
the wind outside, chills me to my core
never seeing my goal.
My friends all try to console me
my family thinks they know whats best
my soul just yearns to be free
want to just be at rest.
Shakespeare wrote about it
a love that is meant to be
i am never meant to have it
it passes right by me
I'm lost in a sea of pain
the rivers of this world pulls me down
no longer do i feel sane
maybe i should just let myself drown
I'm sitting here all alone
my heart heavy as a stone.
