Kindle the Fires on Candlemas

Poem: Kindle the Fires on Candlemas
The voice of one became many
A feminine and masuline interchange
Recipricating as spirals of wind
Swirling skyward to the heavens
And thrusting downward deep within
The wind she glides across the sea,
on upwards to the land
Into the forests and the meadows
And into his right hand
"Oh hear this music!", said the trees.
The animals they danced!
The mountain lions and the foxes,
the grey squirrels chatteredm
and the herds of deer they pranced!
He played his flute all day long
Until the moon was full.
They danced all day into the night
then laid upon soft virgins wool.
The blue stones kept their promises
To place a pattern out
To keep the ones who are at rest
And peace shall ever sprout.
"Come changes!", said the maiden.
"We welcome all!" said the flower king.
"The seeds are planted in the fields,
and the hawks will spread their wings!"
This is the day of Nos Gwyl Fair,
And upon my head a lighted wreath to wear
Then I shall weave her cross of rushes in hand
and return the increasing light across the land!
Nineteen maidens round' the sacred flames
At her shrine they shall remain
Beyond the hedges that will grow
which no man shall never go!
Kindle our hearts most blessed Bride
Bring light from the darkness worldwide
Go out with the old and come in with the new
To purify, ground and center, spiritually imbued.

Author's Notes: Thoughts come to me as the north winds blow into the night time bringing dreams of the awakening sunlight to grow in vitality and strength! It humbles me to see a smile and goodness and saddens me to see the worlds greed and continuing hate. Let us all be freed of these things and heal in all ways and love as the God and Goddess. Blessed be.
