Blessed be our Temple
by Rain Feather
Age Group: Adult
Reach back into time
And express this in rhyme
That the first people
That lived here knew no crime
Of course there were arguments
To come to a simple or complex conclusion
But none of it was vast
Beyond todays illusions
Mixed media
And cell phones
Non-parental control
And children’s confusion
And every discipline lacking
A way to mature
Into someone who is loved
And who feels safe and secure
Oh what a world
One that is led by personal gains
The world is reflective
And all that is vain
The weary and weak
The criminally insane
These words take no action
As I am in pain
Not from a broken bone
Or a drone of infection
Nothing in this life will change death
Or into birth or resurrection
What comes from the past
May be of our future
We need courageous people
Who will mend this life with love
And replace every suture
But it will not happen
Unless we replace
All the violence in this world
Into harmony that is great
The Great Spirit is shifting
And a new era is near
Of the unified force
Behind those who don’t fear
And where you shall be
Is alone your decision
Meditation is lacking
In a third eyes precision
The Old Ways are returning
And these spirits remained
We must listen to our guides
And be open-minded
Independent
And all that is self-contained
Bless yourself and your temple
And accept a universal change
