Our souls
entangled since the dawn of time
came together here.
I, the wayward sailor,
and thou, the Mystic Princess.
I, Ulysses, unable to find my way
to home and hearth
to his beleagured beloved
who in her heart
gave up hope and moved on
with resignation,
with determination,
searching for something better.
I frightened you
with the truth of my prophesy,
the hardness of my soul,
born of this incarnation,
judgemental, vindictive.
The fire
and passion
and zeal frighten you.
Sudden predatory agressiveness
terrifies you.
The darkness in my soul
bleeding through
to bite me in the karmic ass again.
Most of all,
prophesy come to pass
shook the foundation of the
walls of your heart to your very soul.
As you said,
you put up defenses
when someone knows secrets
no one else could ever know.
The psychic you saw
could not tell you--
it's against their "beliefs"--
that your destiny is
immutable,
or that the child you would care for
would be your own daughter
in more like 2-3 years
instead of the 5-6 you were told
or hoped for.
In passing, too,
mention was made by you that
we may yet meet again in
North Dakota--
my admonition was
better it be in Montana.
Fargo is the proof of that
and just the beginning of
more of the same.
For your safety as well as hers
Montana is where you must go.
Unfortunately,
for my time here,
my path lies with
my own daughter.
This the eagle has shown me
when we three were together
listening to songs of power
and watching ancient dances.
If it has not happened yet,
you too, will soon be betrayed.
The one with curls in his hair
and dark features that match his soul.
You cannot save him
but your heart demands that you try
because of ancient bonds.
That is your karma, immutable.
As the drowning sailor
screams out his beloved Kate's name
in the tempest,
she feels sorrow, remorse, and guilt
but is relieved to be able to
wed her lover.
So now you will scream "his" name in the night
through torrents of tears,
your heart aching, bursting,
and finally karma will be at a balance
for you to move onward toward your goal.
But to do this,
the "Shadows" must be left behind,
forever.
Time is sliding swiftly through the eon glass
and our choice to be here, now,
for this eon,
is still entwined.
