Invitation to the Shadows

Will you walk with me in darkness?
Will you join me in the night?
Will you tread the paths in the forest
With no guide but starlight?
Will you strip down to your knickers
And romp amongst the trees?
Will you dance and share your laughter
Til you’re brought down to your knees?
Will you trust me to protect you
In this sacred, shadowed place?
Will you reach with me for magick
Though it sets our hearts to race?
If you dare to follow me—
If you dare to take a chance—
If you open up your heart and mind,
And join me in this dance,
I think you may find something
You didn’t know you didn’t have—
And once you’ve been made whole again,
You won’t want to be a half.
You’ll want to stay and dance with me—
You’ll want to laugh and sing—
You’ll want to lift your arms up high
And feel your heart take wing.
So will you walk with me in darkness?
Will you join me in the night?
Will you tread with me these shadows
Though we walk without a light?
Come, let me show you magick!
And know you need not fear—
This forest is our natural home;
Our Mother watches here.
So strip with me to nothing—
Let us dance and leap and spin—
Let us honor magick here,
And worship skin to skin.
