Daydreams in Sunlight

Dust motes float in Spring-warmed air
Like faery dreams in moonbeams
Settle softly in pettle soft hair
Like London mist in smooth cream
Guild this shoulder, and carress this face
As down will light lightly on pleasure ponds
Lift these fingers in a natural grace
As a breeze behaves fondly through new fronds
It shimmers and gleams with a warm golden glow
Like sunrise after night's deadly storm
Drape these shoulders with starlight that flows
Like a lover's hands over a soft willing form
A lovely dream, a cherished thing
As are memories of loved ones long dead
A bonnie sound of sure plucked strings
As lingering as musings long fled
Dust motes float in Spring-warmed air
Like magick, mesmerizing and light
Settle softly in pettle soft hair
Like stars peeping out through the night
