Gods of Rome

Aurora opens the gates of heaven,
Spreading her fat rosy fingers across the horizon.
Golden chariot awaits Apollo.
Another day's ride across a luminous chromatic sky.
Cockcrow fleeting, the sun begins ascent.
Maia puffs up her cheeks and creates pure white scudding clouds.
Flora treads the warm earth, lilies abound.
Favonius shoots a line of gentle breezes from the west.
The chariot descends inviting Nox.
In Olympus, Jupiter sits upon his mighty throne.
