As Empty As Me

Alone, but not free
Empty, can no one see
Lost in this wilderness
Of concrete block and
Chainlink fence
Their voices are sweet
But their eyes are blank
Nothing moves behind the facade
No pools in which to languish
No depths to explore
I guess they're all as empty
As empty as me
