The Baby Blessing

Blessed Be your mind,
That it thinks great things.
Blessed be your eyes,
That they see all the beauty in the world.
Blessed be your mouth,
That it laughs often.
Blessed be your lips,
That they smile much.
Blessed be your heart,
That it loves unconditionally.
Blessed be your arms,
That they encircle all you hold dear.
Blessed be your knees,
That they uphold you in prayer.
Blessed be your feet,
That they always take you back home.
Author's Notes: I wrote this for a dear friend who had just become a father for the first time. It is hanging in his son's bedroom.
