Even sleep is unable
to hold to the grave
for each pearl rising
death feeds on life
red wine coursing
drunken by the berry
intoxicated by young and old
feeding into the flesh
by will of moon
cold and undead
a beauty reborn

Love like no other
lust for only one
gender and age unfamilliar
sex, not a bother
darkness created life
yet it is dead
a mysterious creature
survival by means to live
