Impatience

The search for the empty
Finding can call on help
We smile
We may also question
My heart is screaming out
There’s still no solution…
Anger’s antagonist plays games
Back travel may seek
Which sun knows truth?
It is four, five, or six?
Maybe it’s in ten!
A mentality practices patience
But for how long?
Eager to know is drastic
Anger is turning the fits
Which episode is next?
No sorrow was assessed
That past discovered clear
Journey on to the foreboding
With hope, we may reach a light
Author's Notes: Wrote this on Feb. 11, 2010
This poem is for my counselor that I seek help for on a bi-weekly basis. I told her about my poetry and she requested that I write a poem describing our last session and the feelings I was having at that time.
"Which sun knows truth? Is it four, five, or six? Maybe it's in ten!" describes me trying to remember how old I was when I started feeling unhappy or noticing that something was not right in my life.
