Lyrically Sweet Decade

Age Group: Adult
Floating in the color maze.
Trousers in the canvas shade.
Beetles run in fields of diamonds.
While Dylan mixes subterranean items.
(L) ucy plays the kaleidoscope role,
while Alice is stuck in his little bowl.
(S) moky, purple haze does not wig out,
but this new generation always shouts.
(D) rowning in sweet intoxication
As you feel the musical vibration
Yippie! for this mind state.
Yippie! for forgotten heartbreaks.
Clever ease proceeds his guitar strum,
once the artist’s mind goes very numb.
Fads may come and fads may go
as these Starrs go on with the show.
Author's Notes: Wrote this January, 2011.
This was an English assignment. We were asked to visit an art gallery and write a poem about a work of art that we were interested in. I can't really remember what i was looking at. All I remember was that it reminded me of 60s rock music... mostly the Beatles and Bob Dylan
