Challenge

I cannot seem to write this poem well;
These words do not have flow for me.
It seemed easy enough for me to sell,
But this meter won’t let my words be free.
Though this homework is hard, I still try,
and my words struggle to come out.
I have a hard time with every other line,
and every other rhyme leaves some doubt.
Sonnets can’t be as bad as haikus.
After all, Shakespeare is my hero.
Poetry reveals the most honest thoughts…
Some thoughts reveal the most honest weirdoes.
Hey! I guess this form is not that bad.
I wish that I had more lines to add (sad) .
Author's Notes: You guessed it! English assignment. Sonnets and pentameters- UGH! As much I miss my English class that I took Spring 2011, I do not miss the writer's block!
