Lights up. Action. Get into character.
Emote. Acting is re-acting!
Cut! Let's do it again. Can't please her.
Can't please them. Wrong move.
Action. Again. Get this right.
Cut, cut, cut! What was that?
Whoa slow down! Too fast.
Do it again. Correctly this time.
Stop. Not because they told me to.
No. Because I want to. Why?
Why am I putting on a show for them?
I'm unhappy. This isn't me.
I don't believe in their beliefs.
My morals are far from theirs.
Why am I playing to their expectations?
Because I've been taught that way.
Never question Him. You'll go to Hell.
Well, I'm questioning. Severely.
Does that make me a bad person? Evil?
They think so. Their looks could kill.
Others who are pretending with me cringe.
"Just keep acting. It's easier."
No. I'm not denying myself any longer. No.
I'm coming out. I'm different. So what?
Get used to it! This is the real me. See?
Don't you want what's best for me?
No? Well I'm sorry. I'm done acting. I love you.
But I want you to love the real me. Real.
Not my fake character that you've written for me.
I love nature. I love balance. Don't you see?
The smell of incense as I meditate. Deep breaths.
The warmth of my Goddess and God. Smile.
I'm happy. I think you'll come around one day.
But for now... Cut! End scene. Fade to black...
