Eight of Them, Standing in a Row

There are eight of them
Standing in a row
They lived such strange lives
What do they know
The Music made life such fun
The Song laughed at Moon and Sun
The Star was strong and proud
The Dancer was fast and quite loud
Another certainly had style
Sleep almost always had a smile
Life never batted an eye
Sea always looked to the sky
There were eight of them
Standing in a row
We need them now
Where did they go
The Music cried tears of blood
The Song turned to mud
The Star stood with a fist
The Dancer was never kissed
Another stood alone
Sleep sat upon her throne
Life fought against his foe
Sea didn't know where to go
The eight of them
Standing in a row
I hope they come back soon
I miss them so
