Let's Race

Age Group: Adult
Artistic does not define him for he defines its own beauty.
He carefully creates his masterpiece.
From dust, he transforms their essence.
The moon inspires him to break down their shades.
To him, they are still bland.
There is something unnatural about their nature.
They love too much.
They care too much.
They accept too often.
This harmony does not help them learn.
After puzzling, he then looks to the stars.
Each with its own shine.
Each with its own intensity.
Each with something unique to offer- The completion to his masterpiece!
Smiling, he begins to capture one from every billion.
Below, they feel the sprinkle of passion,
The answer to all their love.
Becoming encompassed with fear and reflection,
They create a cycle forever afflicting their state of being.
Harmony has been pushed aside
And Love has become a question.
As the stars have come to spread,
So has their passion.
Time evolves many things though.
While passion awaits an evolution of balance,
We await an evolution of unity.
Author's Notes: Wrote this October 4, 2012-
I want to identify the emotions we are automatically inclined to feel when confronted with racism. Many who are religious turn the other cheek because they are ignorant to the fact that racism is still a problem. I wonder how they would feel if they knew God was part of the equation... would it change their perception? Would they be more willing to trust the denied fact if they knew that many who suffer from it on daily basis learn to develop a strong connection to Wakan Tanka?
