Dyer's Song

Age Group: Adult
Covering beneath shields of pretense.
the tunnel end of a dyer's song.
windows to an attic close,
and darkness images a rose
outside is only heard a whisper.
insides battles on through storms.
Questions afloat like dead fish ponds
but only one other may know.
Lips often bit so lined with blood,
only to save all other's darkness.
Hands so cramped from holding tight,
fighting to hold in the sirens.
Unwilling to let her song be sung.
Determined to unbreak a true secret,
For it is
A song like all the rest.
A song so often told.
No single decible can leak her song,
While only one other knows.
