23rd Psalm - Egyptian Rewrite

Thoth is my scribe, I shall not write
He makes me write down on old Papyrus
He leads me beside the still Nile
He recordeth my ba.
He guides me through the halls of history
For future’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the Halls of Death,
I will fear not Anubis,
For Osiris is with me.
His crook and his flail, they comfort me.
He prepares an Afterlife before me,
In the presence of my ka.
He anoints my head with oil;
My canopic jars runneth over.
Surely hymns and spells shall follow me
All the days of my Afterlife,
And I will dwell in the house of Ra for all eternity.

Author's Notes: This was written earlier today, 1/19/04, by myself and a good friend of mine. She and I were just sitting and talking and all the sudden I started reciting it and changing it, so we wrote it down and I decided to post it for everyone's enjoyment. Blessed Be. Ankh, Udja, Seneb!
