Paradise

Inspired by that one special place where you can get away from it all, whether it is a place in the 'real' world or a place inside yourself.
Paradise
There’s a wide-open space just outside of town
That’s bordered by trees growing tall.
It’s carpeted by wildflowers of every hue.
There a body doesn’t feel quite so small.
Hear the song of the birds as the wind blows free.
Feel the warm caress of the sun.
Lie back and watch clouds float lazily by.
While you’re here, you must answer to no one.
Weeping willows brush the soft green grass.
Wild roses and honeysuckle grow by the stream.
Here is the place for which you have searched ~~
Somewhere to get away and to dream.
When darkness falls, a canopy of stars
Is stretched from here to the morning.
No one will intrude on the peace you have found.
There are night creatures to give you warning.
But if you should choose to share your seclusion
With someone special whom you invite,
You’ll find paradise is big enough for two
As you share the magic of foxfire light.
The morning sun as it begins it ascent
Touches diamonds sprinkled by a fairy hand.
Each blade of grass is kissed by the dew.
When you awaken, you’re feeling so grand.
There’s a wide-open space just outside of town.
It’s your very own special paradise.
No one else can find and enter this place.
It’s hidden from all other eyes.
