The good life
by Lee Gray
Age Group: Adult
As I stand Alone I am not alone.
With hands raised I greet the sun.
The truth awakens that I've always Known.
That life was meant to be fun.
The lost believe In a story Of eternal Glory
When the pain Of this Life Is done.
The empty souls sleep in the prison they keep.
And covers their eyes from each rising sun.
They labor for a debt that cannot be paid.
And Wishes each new day was done
I greet every day never wishing one away
And look forward to each new day begun.
In my life that is now and my passing tomorrow's.
Friends will pass away and bring some pain and some sorrow.
However; I'll strive to be true and seek to live well.
Not waiting for heaven while pacing my cell.
Life's virtue Is now, say teaching of Tao as I hold to this good life unfolding.
I not be chastised with sin from without or within or partake in some hateful gods scolding.
I will reach for the laughter now and ever after before this life Is undone.
And with Gaea I'll join along in her eternal love song, as I go my last setting sun.
Author's Notes: Live Is good And not to be wasted with worried over make-believe sin. Fulfill your will "destiny "and harm none.
