The Price of GREED

on wet concrete
my pagan feet
no grass i see
just vagrant street
The city lames
all life it claims
an emerald trap
moths to flames
with insane desire
they embrace fire
o salmon folly
event the wise perspire
with knowledge we see
our further to be
green earth so broken
death's great shopping spree
in tales it will be said
event the sane lost their head
gathered in peasant masses
to live they ate the dead
It is too late to turn back
So lift my morbid peasant pack
as one we press to the edge
and fall to a future so black
Author's Notes: The Future of global warming is so bleak and painfull that we will not look at it. So lets Fill up the Escalade and go shopping... some place nice.
