I sit atop this dais
Been waiting here oh so long
Then the setting sun's radiance
Sets the forest into song
Sing for me Oh Little Ones
For I feel so alone
Sing of lighter times Oh Little Ones
For soon I too must journey on
The day is dimming
In brilliant colors gay
Soar high Oh My Spirit singing
And touch the hand of Fay
Set for me this day Oh Father
Amid this assembled throng
Quench the fire, bright and fair Oh Father
And release me in a song
Author's Notes: I wrote this in memory of my grandmother Nanna, may her memory never fade.
