SAMHAIN POEM

Did you know that there's a place where weary souls may go to sleep?
And did you know there is a time where hardened hearts are free to weep?
Between the veils we must walk and learn the things we are to learn.
Insight and life, they are gifts but wisdom must be earned.
Death gives life and life gives death and yet they are the same.
For change it comes and change it goes and really has no name.
The spirits walk, the spirits roam, and from the living they seek,
A moment of recognition, someone to hear when they speak.
The Hunt begins, the whispers swell, listen and you'll hear,
For when the in-between-times come they are very near.
It is a time of letting go, a change which feels like mortal death.
But renewal comes at the end, a gift of one's last breath.
Remember those who've gone before for they remember you.
Again you will know them well before this path is through.
The Wheel, it turns, the Power it burns, and it always will.
Embrace what is and always was and never get your fill.
