Capital "Ism"

The capital "ism" of Eagle so dear,
Is not what it seems, a reason for cheer.
The land that you own, and hold with esteem,
Is no mortal right, 'tis only a dream.
Look now upon the mountain on high.
Approacheth the summit; look down from the sky.
Far older than you is the ground at your feet,
And likely an end, shall you sooner meet.
Marked with a boundary is your ownéd land,
A child at play drawing lines in the sand.
Continue thy rape and thy pillage with greed,
Take from thy Mother far more than you need.
When nothing is left, pray tell me the cost,
Of all that is ravaged, of all that is lost.
The leech that draineth the last of the blood,
Soon shall he parish, no arc for the flood.
Is this a message, a lesson to learn?
Take what you need and not what you yearn!
"From each" as is given, "to each" in "his need",
A Dragon, perhaps, has a far wiser creed.
