The darkness of soul,
So yearning to be embraced,
Appears before me.
Is it my lost faith,
Perhaps shattered dreams of old,
The shell of my soul?
I am incomplete.
What is light without darkness?
I need its embrace.
How do I hold you,
Without you running away,
Slipping through my hands?
You are always there,
Even when I cannot see...
Hiding in the dark.
I need completion
That is found in your embrace...
Comfort from the light.
Will I find solace
And lose myself in the womb
Of your tenderness?
