Morning Star

The Bearer of Light who falls out of grace,
In the black book, may not be as he seems.
A serpent see not within his true face,
Nor let him haunt you in your precious dreams.
What have they told now, and what is their lie?
In Knowledge of Fruit seems something amiss?
What is a reason for gift to deny...
Hindering wisdom, departing from bliss?
Pagan god carries the torch of his name,
And secrets of wisdom are his true gifts.
What power one holds, who snuffs out the flame,
As Morning Star fades, and further truth drifts.
Of sulfur and flame, now is he the lord.
Salvation of Man: a power to hoard.
