Comatose Delights

In youth we hide, upon the stairs, and watch the horrid fights
Of parents… and our minds do drift to comatose delights.
Scars are made upon the mind of each and every soul
When angels fall to demons and our devil takes his toll.
Within the cemetery of the children of our pasts,
Always the ghosts are rising in a night that ever lasts.
They rise, and how they haunt us, in the ever lasting nights
Of dark and other-worldly dreams and comatose delights.
A blade upon the flesh… he cuts, and pills…she swallows three.
The ghosts are ever rising, and they’re longing to be free.
A whore he follows through the door; she heats the silver spoon
As witches dance, in pagan trance, whilst naked ‘neath the moon.
Always we are screaming. We are screaming in the nights
Of dark and other-worldly dreams and comatose delights.
Screaming like a banshee that could chill one to the bone
We look upon the gorgon, and our hearts are turned to
stone.
The magic dust he breathes within, and shots… she takes but four.
See the demons dancing by their shadows on the floor?
She ties his hands, and places in, his mouth a single ball,
Silencing the angel who from innocence did fall.
Ah, the ghosts are rising, always rising in the nights
Of dark and other-worldly dreams and comatose delights.
Bound by flesh, within a world, of wounds that never heal,
We buried deep our spirits, and they rise and yearn to feel.
The spirit dances, in the flame, and boils in our blood.
Bring us pain, for wicked deeds, and cleanse us with the flood.
Pain and pleasure merge as one, within our heathen rites,
Where demons dance, and we fulfill our comatose delights.
