Goddess Night

Age Group: Adult
Night as dark as ebony lace
Goddess light shines on my face
Her presence is here all around
As shapeless spirits do surround
The power fills the midnight air
To be directed with our care
To help, to heal, to soothe an ache
To help the soul that is now awake
We stand in wonder and glorious awe
As we heed her herald call
An end to seeking, our hearts fulfilled
We form the circle to do her will
The spirit soars, the heart takes wing
As we heed the call to this wonderous thing
As evening wanes, the soul fulfilled
The circle closed, the night is still.
Author's Notes: This is my tribute to the total joy and awe I always feel when communing with the goddess. The power and emotions that fill the experiences within the circle are some of the strongest feeling experienced, and this poem only hovers on the actual experience.
