Screaming Ohms

If you listen closely in these narrow catacombs,
You will hear the wailing of a banshee screaming ohms.
His sonic waves in motion on an endless, open sea,
Rise up like a serpent longing only to be free.
They free us from the prison of this self-indulgent shell,
Bound up in a web, upon a sea, inside a spell.
Spells so writ with letters of a long forgotten tongue
That tastes the salty pillar; Fire burns within the lung.
Breathing to the heartbeat and the rhythms of the earth,
Onward we are spinning, in a cycle, giving birth.
Endlessly and aimlessly we spin a web of sin,
Crossing threads and weaving lines…did Athena let us win?
We build a world of structure filled with order and with law
That binds what doesn’t fit the final vision we foresaw.
Bind them in a prison, like a serpent in a shell.
They will rip the flesh, as wolves arise from cruel Hel.
Giants always rising from the land of bitter frost,
Bring the twilit night where even gods are surely lost.
Those that live will fashion from the ever-ending sea
Of chaos.. a new world, and all shall finally be free.
Only those that follow though, as laws are filled in tomes,
Imprisoning a banshee screaming nothing more than ohms.
