Tonight

Alone
in the woodland
I walk
I smell
the incense on the wind
Home
the drums in the distance
I hear
Drawn
Welcoming me the arms of trees
Woven trees enciricling me
Drink to me, tonight!
Kneeling on the moist earth
Caressed by the warm wind
Welcoming me the elements
Fire dancer, leaping bright
My soul burning bright
The air carries the scent of hyacinth
Hycacinth saturating me
The gentle rain falls down
Rain on my face upturned to heaven
This earrth beneath my feet
Strength of earth
Tonight is it enough.
For all ways and for evermore.

Author's Notes: This was my first "pagan" poem, written back when I was still beginning to explore the path. It's not so good writting but it means a lot to me personally because it was the first step I took in affirming my connection to the Old Ways.
