Childish Dreams of Fantasy

Late into the night,
as I'm lost in my dreams,
I find I'm no longer floating.
I'm falling so fast,
yet the ground is running,
farther, and farther yet, from me.
I dip past silver clouds inlaid with gold,
as the misty dew of diamonds covers my face.
Behind me chasing me with laughter,
is every topaz star strewn in the sky.
Aloft in my mind,
I'm moving with the breeze,
a perfect crystalized feather.
I see on the ground,
the emerald blades of grass,
swaying back and forth as I do.
I rest upon florescent rainbows here,
conversing with angels made of sapphire glass.
We sit and eat treats made for the Gods,
mearly sugar cubes laced with ourtear drops.
This is my fantasy
seems to have risen now,
from musings I lost long ago.
I feel such confort,
as I loose myself here,
here in my blissful illusions.
I sleep now in my bed so warm, alone,
safe from harm, stuck inside my dreams, praying to stay,
Every bat of my eyelids a pain,
as I try to keep the light of day from getting in.
Author's Notes: When I was a child this was my place to get away from the seemingly hell of my short life. I see now that in times of need it will always be there. My sancuary, in which no one can enter with out my permission. I hope that all that read it will be able to connect with it some how. Blessed Be!
