~WILD FLOWERS~

by Panisch Lockelear

Age Group: Adult

~WILD FLOWERS~

Warm summer day in a field of towers.
Gentle warm rain brings fourth the wild flowers.
Love so deep, there can be but one token.
Wildflowers given, to a heart that is broken.
Day by day I select the choosen few, bunched and wrappedin various of hue.
To show the love that dwells deep inside, a love that was lost no matter how I've tried.
Now alone and bare fields do I see, waiting for the pain to comfortably ease.
Waiting for the warm rain to come down, and raise the wildflowers from this cold ground.
It must be the nature of knowing love's not well, the fields remain baren where flowers did dwell.
From time to time I gaze out and see one lonely flower to be, all alone in a field that is bare.
No one to love and no one to care...Panisch~

Author's Notes: Written about a lost love, who decided to follow another life path. Written as a testiment to broken hearted suffering. Also note how eventhough she has obviously moved on, I seem to haunt the old shared places in the poem, very typical of a lost lover who did not want the lost love to go away. Now haunting the loving feild alone...Hoping she will walk bye and see me still there and still in love... Yes very much feeling sorry for myself. On a happier note..The rains did come and they did raise new wildflowers and it has bloomed into the most glorious love for my wife... Funny how we must suffer sometimes to be placed where we belong in life, and to whome we belong.
