Hand in Hand

Age Group: Teen
Two people who walk hand in hand
Seem to always know where they stand.
They laugh at evil and smile at fear
It’s a wonder that they’re still here.
I guess it’s the bond that they share
Because it keeps growing with their care.
It becomes bold and very strong
Keeping them linked and safe from harm.
The bond between lovers can be bright,
But that bond can break, dulling the light.
This is why friendship is the best
Because their bond is never a test.
Friends trust each other without question
Flowing effortlessly like an ocean.
The may make a mistake now and again,
But they stick with each other to the end.
And even when their life is done
They work together like the moon and the sun.
So I guess it’s true what they say
That when two people walk hand in hand
They always have strength to face a new day!
