Winter's End

When the silver wolf howls and the gold eagle cries:
Mother Nature decides who lives and who dies.
She's the moon who rules over the heart and the tide
an the shadows where your sorrow and fear will reside.
Light the red flame and the sun will return.
All our pain, our remorse, and our hate all to burn.
She scatters the stars like the new fallen snow.
Hold on to the darkness, or let it all go.
The full moon eclipsed and the winter undone,
the gray shadows fade with the new rising sun.
Author's Notes: I wrote this poem for a yule ceremony two years ago, just after a lunar eclipse. I am working on anther yule poem called "The tree of life" which I will be posting soon. Feel free to use this in any of your own spellcraft.
