~When I go~

When I go, remember the words I spoke to get you through, to know the person I was because of you.
When I go share a thought. A thought of me and a breeze that brings me back to you.
When I go Keep me. Keep me safe inside your heart, so my memory will never know the dark.
When I go weep for me, then rejoyce in the life and the strife that binds us all so close together.
When I go look for me. Look for me in familiar words and smells of the day... In memories I have set aside for you to find.
When I go let me walk the path I must walk down, for it is another place I am bound.
When I go slowly forget me. Let the pain of me leave you , because I would not have a sad face at my memory...when I go...Panisch~
Author's Notes: I think we all would like to say something to those we leave behind. Often we never get that clarity of moment to do so, because the moment comes so far that we rarely recognize it. This poem is for those who knew me in life and I leave behind. You all were the love of my life and I leave this for you.
