Into Darkness

I call out into darkness
Come dance your way to me.
I cry out into moonlight
Come spend eternity.
There is too much to live and love,
To linger, hesitatingly.
There is too much to seek and find;
To linger, waiting, resistently.
I call out into darkness,
Follow your road to me.
I cry out into moonlight,
Looking expectantly.
I know she'll come
From out the mist.
I know she'll come
From out behind the veil.
She lingers in shadow,
She lingers in fear.
She lingers in doubt,
I am not what she fears.
I both light and darkness,
I am both shade and sun.
I am guardian and companion,
If she is the one.
I am more than she sees,
I am more than she knows.
I am Hades' Consort
In Elysium below.
It's not the dark world
You were taught to fear.
It is not death,
To the strong that enter here.
Only the weak
Are consumed in our fire.
The bright flames dance
As the smoke rises higher.
We forge, we rebuild.
We tear-down to remake.
It is not for your tears,
It is for your soul's sake.
I am more than a teacher,
More than companion or lover.
I am more than a friend,
More than compassionate mother.
I am who I am,
Nothing less, nothing more.
Come, my sweet child,
Come and rest on my shore.
I will show you more love
Than mortal can give,
I will give you my heart,
I will teach you to live.
I will teach you to fly,
I will help you to soar.
I will take you to planes
You've not seen before.
So just take my hand,
Come in from the night.
Come into my heart,
Let your heart now take flight.
I call out into darkness
