Message To My Girl (From War)

Twilight's clouding, dusky chants
Have come to call me once again.
My eyes fix west - to home's embrace,
Sunset gone, night's blithe spirits
Bestow upon me grace.
From the love of the Goddess' heart,
Inspired by the holy night,
From an empty field in the Mountain Fort
Divine nature shocks my second sight.
With lightning all abounding,
I gently drop to bended knee,
To scoop up cloud-kissed desert soil,
Which far away she stands on,
But close to me.
In this hopeful dark of night,
Now lighted by the Lord God's hand,
My strength enhanced by tempests' might,
Replace the earth to the cut in the land,
Reveling in it's power grand,
And sending word to my love on distant land.
"Oh please, My Lady, let her feel my breath,
Let her hear my comfort, too.
By the spirit of the world may she be given,
The knowing that to her my heart is true."
