July 4th, 1995: Mourning Eva's Passing

I won't remember a time you didn't smile,
And lifted up the heart of a hurting child,
Who saw the first beautiful woman in his life in you.
To the end your angel's face and lovely style were true.
I know there was a side you kept quite hidden,
But not so much so that I wasn't smitten,
With precious words and an accent that said "Love"
May I be there with you in the stars above.
But the little boy's tears flow again like rain,
They help to ease this surely passing pain,
From your sudden yeild to that which takes us all,
May you be there waiting in heaven after all.
May your happy spirit live in groves of sunshine,
A pleasant life in paradise again,
And when my time upon this earth is over,
Please take my hand and walk me back again!
Author's Notes: Eva Gabor is the Eva in mention. She was a sweet lady by all counts, very generous and of course . . . a great beauty.
