Silence

Silence
We sit here in silence
Not speaking a word
But the silence speaks volumes
Not said, but still heard.
The love is one sided
Or at least so it seems
His heart is hidden
While she wears hers on her sleeve.
She wants to talk
But he says there's no use
That she never listens
And always has an excuse.
She is really trying
To make things work out
He is tired of talking and getting no where
So he starts to holler and shout.
The silence is killing her
More so than the shouts
Why bother trying when she is the only one that cares
So she ends up thinking that this can't possibly be what
love is all about.
