Oh Weeping Willow

Oh Weeping Willow
Take me up into thy branches
And give me physical proof of my pain
My heart it breaks
To not know love
My eyes they weep
To not live life
My mind it spins
Not finding my direction
My voice lays silent
When I should scream
I push away those who help
And lay blameless those who cause pain
I know what I should do
But I take no action
Till it is too late
And all seams lost
I hold back what I should say
And chances of knowing what may come
Pass me by
Leaving me wondering what if lost in the past
When what can be is left untouched
My heart aches to sing
My eyes to shine
My mind to know peace
A shell I must break to be free
A shell that which imprisons my true sole
Crying from within but I do not listen fearful of life
Holding on to disappointment
Only I am to blame
Fearful I must sing
Reach out and grab hold of life and
Not let it pass me by
My world stands still begging to move
Oh heavens give me strength to find my purpose
And not prolong my empty existence
Open my heart and shine light into my soul
For I am yours to guide.
