Winter Song

Winter time has come again, See the seasons turning
Gather round the warming flame And the Yule log burning
Raise your voices into song Merriment and laughter
Drive away the winter's chill And bring joy thereafter
Holly branch and mistletoe Brighten up our evening
Now is not a time to fight Nor a time for grieving
Pass around that bowl of cheer Warming on the hearthside
All are friends who gather here In this hall at Yuletide
Darker days and longer nights Brightened up by giving
Games to pass the time of day Feasting for the evening
Children running everywhere Join the celebration
Dance and sing throughout the hall Yuletide's liberation
Author's Notes: This is sung to the tune "The Flower Carol" or "Good King Wenceslas". Enjoy!
