My Beautiful Moon

Age Group: Adult
When the sun falters and darkness descends
I find time for magick, music, and friends.
I find time for spirit-lifting creation,
I feel peaceful and free; my soul transcends.
When the weary day lays down to rest
When she seeks solace behind the sun,
My heartbeat begins to quicken,
My reanimation has begun!
I cannot bear to waste the time!
For it is fleeting like a butterfly,
So I cease from all my worries and work,
And I put all pain aside.
The clock strikes midnight
And I'm wide awake.
Each moment I must cherish,
Each opportunity I must take...
For the day will all too soon return
Rising from her cocoon
Back from her resting place behind the sun
To hide my beautiful moon.
